Illinois Tourism Monthly - November 2019
We're ready for 2020. Are you?
The holidays in Illinois are such a joyous time, one where you can truly see how bright our state really shines. Speaking of shiny, you may have noticed something fresh and new being shared from our office in the last couple of weeks: a brand new logo! Along with the new logo will be a new brand launch coming in 2020. Brand guidelines for the new logo will be available soon. It's a great way to close out a great year and look ahead to 2020.

A dazzling showcase of Route 66 in the UK
In November, we had an incredible turnout at our 2nd annual Illinois Route 66 Regent Street Motor Show in the UK. This was the show's 200th anniversary and it was great to showcase the amazing aspects of historic Route 66 to a motor-loving audience. The famed Regent street was traffic-free between Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus, and the road was filled with a glittering collection of dazzling cars. The Illinois Route 66 stand display featured Dodge Challengers, a Mustang Bullitt replica, a Police Trans Am, a Blues Mobile replica plus some stunning Harley-Davidsons.

Illinois Office of Tourism Out on the Road
In November, six CVB partners joined us at our sales missions in London and Dublin. Across the two cities, we did six in-house training sessions with 68 sales agents,  met with 16 media across two events, including an event for trade and media at Optimo Hat's London pop up store. We also met with 15 product managers, Visit USA Ireland and Brand USA UK & Ireland. A big thank you to the partners who joined us on this mission: Choose Chicago, DuPage CVB, Heritage Corridor, Rockford Area CVB, Great Rivers & Routes and Visit Springfield.
