The Meredith Road Rally stops by the Route 66 shield mural in Pontiac
Illinois Office of Tourism Out On the Road
Fall is officially underway and we've been busy around the state — and the globe. In September, we were in London representing our great state at Brand USA's Travel Week. We also hosted the Midwest Living team for the #MWLRoadRally2020, which stopped at many Route 66 highlights and visited several of our Illinois Made makers. The journey will be printed in the May/June 2020 issue which hits newstands April 15.
Speaking of fall, our new campaign is out in market, and we love how it showcases the colorful beauty of Illinois. This campaign, along with our most recent Spring-Summer campaign, was created by our new advertising agency of record, O'Keefe Reinhard & Paul (OKRP).

Last month, Pontiac and Springfield played host to 17 travel agents from Italy. They had a great time exploring historic landmarks and icons along Route 66. Are you planning to host any media/trade FAMs in your area? Be sure to let us know so that we can support you in your efforts!

The fluffy residents of Rolling Oak Alpaca Ranch
Our Maker of the Month
Born out of a desire for a softer yarn, Rolling Oak Alpaca Ranch creates a variety of super lightweight and durable alpaca wool goods — and it's all handmade right here in Illinois. The family-owned and operated ranch also offers tours, during which guests can get up close and personal with the alpacas before seeing how their wool transforms into processed fibers and handcrafted fleece.
